Colorado's ceramic history started with the first prospectors to the area and over the years, developed into a well-respected location for ceramic artists, potters, and art centers. There have always been ceramists in the state making work outside of academia, through co-ops, basement studios, storefronts and guilds, working diligently to make and sell their work, ranging from useable vessels to ceramic sculpture. Not always benefitting from name awareness, these ceramic artists are highly admirable with compelling work well worthy of recognition. Guest Curator Shelley Schreiber selected the participants for the "Colorado Connection" exhibition to acknowledge some of these ceramic artists and their contributions to Colorado's vibrant ceramic scene. Plinth Gallery is honored to exhibit their work.

Opening October 2, 6–9pm

For this opening we are following the guidance of the City of Denver. Masks are required for entry into the gallery. The exhibition will include both indoor and outdoor spaces. All surfaces will be properly sanitized prior to and during the opening for your safety.
