First Friday Calendar

Abstract expressionist painter Joshua Frye will be featured at RiNo’s First Friday Art Walk on May 4th at ESQ Legal 3343 Larimer St, corner of 33rd. Joshua’s use of vivid colors and surprising shapes invoke energy and enthusiasm that have made him a stand-out favorite in Denver. Come meet Joshua, enjoy a drink and hors d'oeuvres, and find out how he creates these cathartic images.

Also on view will be hand-painted Thangkas, elaborate compositions depicting Buddhist deities and religious scenes used as a meditation tools, three masterful works by Nigerian artist Silas Adelanke Adeoye who employs pointillism techniques to tell his stories, Senegalese sand-art and original paintings from West Africa and Vietnam.

This free event is sponsored by Project HARTwork and ESQ Legal in order to help “End Human Trafficking with Global Artistry.” Project HARTwork is an organization that educates about human trafficking by using the arts as a platform for bringing awareness to human trafficking, the world’s fastest growing criminal enterprise and a rapidly growing problem here in Colorado.
