The Night Sweats Bourbon Release at The Block Distilling Co.

Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats and The Block Distilling Co. are releasing a new collaborative bourbon named The Night Sweats Straight Bourbon. The bourbon is made from yellow, blue, and red corn, millet, and malted barley. 70% of the grain is coming from The Block’s dedicated acreage on a Missouri family farm where they are directly involved in the farming practices, the grain varietals, and the storage techniques. The whiskey is open top-fermented, double distilled, and aged for a minimum of two years on charred American white oak barrels. A portion of the proceeds from each bottle sale will go to The Marigold Project, Rateliff’s foundation, to fund community and nonprofit organizations that address issues of racial, social and economic justice.

The first batch of bourbon will include 1,000 (750-ml) bottles. 700 bottles were released during the pre-sale with the remaining 300 bottles available for purchase on October 30. The bottles are $82 with a limit of 2 bottles per person. The bourbon will also be available at Rateliff’s new classic dive bar, the Skylark Lounge. For each bottle sold, $10 of the proceeds will be designated for The Marigold Project.

In celebration of the release, The Block will have the bourbon available at the bar for neat and rock pours all day Saturday. Circle Pies will be providing breakfast Block Pockets, a flakey puff pastry square filled with savory fillings, and marigold-infused pies. Available while supplies last.
