The City of Aurora seeks Colorado artists, artist groups, and independent curators with completed, hang-ready artwork for exhibitions at the Aurora Municipal Center during the 2027 exhibition season. The second-floor exhibition area includes long walls and display cases, with space for up to 40 artworks depending on size. Work must be durable, suitable for interior display, and compatible with a hanging wire system.
Timeline:
- August 21, 2026: Applications open
- September 21, 2026, 11:59 PM MDT: Application deadline
- Week of September 25, 2026: Finalists notified
- Week of October 6, 2026: Multi-level approval completed
- April–June or July–September 2027: Preferred exhibition periods
Eligibility
Open to Colorado residents. Artists, artist groups, and independent curators may apply. Artists with connections to Aurora are encouraged to apply.
How to Apply
Apply through the CaFÉ system. Submit 4–20 images or videos of completed work, a résumé of no more than two pages, a statement of interest, brief bio, and preferred exhibition slots. Conceptual proposals, renderings, and AI-generated images will not be reviewed.
