About RiNo ArtPark
RiNo Art District Partnership
RiNo Art District is a grassroots nonprofit made up of passionate advocates who believe in the power of art to connect people and create a thriving community.
Art is the common thread that unites the district and the lens through which we view our work in support of the community here.
RiNo Art District was a major partner in helping to develop the ArtPark and currently maintains and operates the buildings, and provides programming within the park and Truss House.
2017
The City partnered with the RiNo Art District, The Greenway Foundation, and the Trust for Public Land to develop a park and promenade in the Five Points neighborhood along the South Platte River. Based on community feedback, the RiNo Art District advocated for saving existing buildings on the site and raised around $5M through a grant, a capital campaign, and a loan to fund the renovation of the buildings.
2021
Phase 1 opened, which included the completed park and two buildings. RiNo Art District entered into an agreement with the City to operate and maintain the buildings, including overseeing the building's tenants. Phase 1 buildings included:
- Redline Contemporary Art Center that has affordable artist studios and a gallery
- Comal Heritage Food Incubator using the commissary space overseen by Focus Points
- Bob Ragland Branch of the Denver Public Library
2023–Present
Phase 2 opens in 2023, which includes the completed Truss House building, an affordable, multi-purpose creative and event space that supports local artists, businesses, nonprofits, and the community. The RiNo Art District entered into another agreement with the City to maintain, operate, and program the building.
