Artists retain 85% of sales; 40 West Arts retains a 15% commission.
Earthen invites artists to explore their relationship with soil, earth, mud, clay, sand, and the natural world. All mediums and experience levels are welcome. Works will be juried by 40 West Arts curators and guest juror Christian Smith.
Timeline:
- November 1, 2026 — Submission deadline
- Week of November 15, 2026 — Artist notifications
- December 2, 2026 — Artwork drop-off
- December 3, 2026 — Installation
- December 4–20, 2026 — Exhibition
- December 20, 2026 — Artwork pickup
Application Fee:
$5 per entry for 40 West members; $10 per entry for non-members. Free for youth and student artists.
Eligibility:
Open to professional and amateur artists. All mediums welcome. 40 West Arts members and non-members may apply.
How to Apply:
Submit up to four hanging works or three 3-D works. Pay the applicable entry fee, complete the submission form, and email JPEG images to submissions@40westarts.org using the required file-naming format. Accepted work must be framed and ready to hang; mailed artwork is not accepted.
