The Arvada Arts and Culture Commission seeks an artist or artist team to design, fabricate, and install a permanent outdoor sculpture celebrating water, movement, and community. The site-specific work should function as a recognizable landmark for the Aquatics Center and surrounding neighborhood and be engaging from all viewpoints.
The sculpture must be 6–9 feet tall, fit within a 6-by-6-foot pad, and use durable, low-maintenance materials suitable for Colorado weather. It must be family-friendly, discourage climbing, and avoid safety hazards.
Timeline:
- October 4, 2026, 11:59 PM MDT: Application deadline
- October 2027: Anticipated installation completion
Eligibility
Applicants must be 18 or older, maintain a current Colorado residence or studio address, and have demonstrated experience creating and installing large-scale, durable outdoor sculpture.
