Make your own mini chonky pet in this beginner-friendly, project-based pottery workshop at Community Clay. Using handbuilding techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab building, participants will shape and decorate small ceramic pets designed to fit in the palm of a hand or on a trinket display.
The workshop includes two hours of hands-on instruction, one pound of clay, use of tools, glazing, and firing. Finished pieces will be ready for pickup in a few weeks. This class uses handbuilding techniques rather than a pottery wheel.
