The Fundamentals of Interior Design Certification is a hands-on program designed to build a foundation in interior design principles and prepare students for a career in the field. Coursework covers design elements and principles, color theory, space planning, construction documents, lighting, socially responsible design, and more.

Through project-based learning, students will design and present residential spaces, culminating in a complete home renovation project. Weekly field visits to showrooms, design studios, and manufacturing spaces provide opportunities to learn from industry professionals and build connections within the design community. Students will also work with AI tools as part of the creative process.

Students who successfully complete the program receive a Fundamentals of Interior Design Certification.

Schedule: Tuesdays–Thursdays, 9 AM–2:30 PM, with studio time from 2:30–4:30 PM
Dates: September 15–December 10, 2026 (no class November 24–26)
