The DENVER CREATES Fund, administered by Denver Arts & Venues, provides grants of up to $10,000 for creative-sector and cross-sector partnerships that align with the goals of Denver’s DENVER CREATES cultural plan. The fund supports programs and projects that contribute to Denver’s creative and artistic vibrancy while broadening access to arts and culture, cultivating the cultural community, and supporting the economic vitality of Denver’s cultural sector.
Eligible applicants include cultural institutions, nonprofit and for-profit entities, educational institutions, neighborhood and community-based organizations, and individuals regularly doing work within the City and County of Denver. Applicants based outside Denver may also apply if the proposed program takes place within the city. Both new and existing programs are eligible.
Grant-supported activities may include program development and management, artist and contractor fees, community organizing, permits, professional services, materials, equipment rentals, community engagement, accessibility services, marketing, and project documentation. Funded programs must take place between August 2026 and December 2027.
Timeline:
- August 13–September 14, 2026: Applications open
- August 19, 12–1 PM: Online information session
- Mid-November: Applicants notified
- December 2026/January 2027: Grant disbursement
- December 2027: Funded program activities must be completed
Programs may begin in August 2026, but expenses incurred before a grant agreement is executed and funds are distributed are the applicant's responsibility.
