The Teiger Foundation's Hosting Grant provides $50,000 or $75,000 to U.S.-based curators or artistic directors presenting a contemporary visual art exhibition or project that originated elsewhere and is being meaningfully adapted for a new institutional and community context. The grant supports curatorial collaboration, local partnerships, public programming, and other adaptations that give an existing project new meaning for its host community.
Eligible projects must already exist and may include exhibitions or performances grounded in contemporary visual art. Internationally originated projects are eligible as long as the host organization is U.S.-based. Projects presented exactly as they appeared at the originating institution, without meaningful adaptation or collaboration, are not competitive.
Timeline:
- September 9, 2026: Application deadline
- April 1, 2027–March 31, 2028: Eligible project period
- December 2026: Applicants notified
The Hosting Grant is now offered four times a year, with additional deadlines in December 2026 and March and June 2027.
