The Ben Paille and Jonathan Powell Quintet bring vibrant energy and deep reverence to Nocturne as they celebrate the legendary Clark Terry/Bob Brookmeyer Quintet. Terry and Bob Brookmeyer were two of the most innovative brass voices in modern jazz, blending wit, lyricism, and technical mastery to bridge swing, bebop, and the cool jazz aesthetic of the 1960s. By revisiting this repertoire, Paille and Powell honor their legacy asvtrailblazers who expanded the possibilities of jazz instrumentation.
