Knuckle Sandwich is an absurdist physical comedy about two hopeless romantics trying to go the distance. Inspired by silent film and vaudeville, the show transforms the everyday negotiations of love into a theatrical bout filled with physical comedy, slapstick, and absurdist storytelling.

As the lovers navigate the shifting balance between romance and rivalry, tenderness and competition, they struggle to have the last word. Writers and performers Meghan Frank and Buba Basishvili, co-founders of Theatre Artibus and a married couple in real life, draw on their shared backgrounds in physical theatre and clown to explore the hilarious contradictions of sharing a life, a creative practice, and occasionally, the same opinion.
