Join us for a hands-on block printing workshop where you’ll design and carve stamps and use them to create beautiful ceramic pieces. Perfect for beginners and experienced makers alike, this class combines relief carving, printing and clay handbuilding into one fun session!

Your instructor will guide you through carving a unique stamp(s), then show you how to press your design into slabs of clay to create custom tiles, small plates, ornaments, or decorative pieces. You’ll also explore color by adding underglaze to enhance your patterns and make your designs pop.

What to expect:

$75 per person
2 hours of hands-on instruction
Carve your own stamp
Create multiple small clay pieces (tiles, small plates, or ornaments)
All materials, tools, glazing, and firing included

No prior experience needed. We provide everything you need. After the workshop, we’ll glaze and kiln-fire your creations. Finished pieces will be ready for pickup in approximately 3 weeks.

About your instructor:
Ren (they/them) is an artist based in Denver, CO. They have a BFA in Fibers and Drawing from Colorado State University in Ft. Collins although they primarily work as a printmaker and potter right now. They think that the best way to learn is to experiment, make mistakes, and gain some knowledge rather than seeking perfection. When not in the studio, Ren likes to ride bikes, pet dogs, learn about science and nature, and try new things.
