Motus Theater & Colorado Asian Pacific United (CAPU) present Motus Playback: Adoptee Journeys of Belonging, an interactive playback improv performance centering the wide spectrum Asian adoptee experiences across cultures, generations, and identities.
Audience members are invited to share stories of belonging, displacement, and connection, which are then improvised live on stage by the Motus Playback Theater Ensemble. Rooted in deep listening and reflection, this event creates space for visibility, nuance, and solidarity. Come witness how shared stories can build understanding and affirm belonging.
This performance is part of Motus Playback performances honoring the U.S 250th & CO 150th anniversaries; this initiative is funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts, Denver Arts & Venues, the America 250-Colorado 150 Community Grant, and Rose Community Foundation’s Immigrant Ecosystem Support Grant.
