Artist and art historian Geovanni Barrios brings together collage, film, poetry, and music for an evening exploring landscape, belonging, and our relationship with the natural world. Drawing connections between Florida’s Everglades and Colorado’s mountains, Of Marsh and Mountain considers how the places we inhabit shape our sense of identity and freedom.
Guests can contribute to a collaborative collage by creating colorful paper forms inspired by meaningful landscapes. Barrios will assemble the individual pieces into a new artwork after the event, building on an evening of creative participation and performances with special guests Emma Cuba and Awuor Onguru.
