COMPRESSION celebrates the conclusion of Community Clay’s debut residency program with artist Ally Grimm (A.L. Grime). As a muralist, Grimm came into the residency program as a blank slate, ready to learn various techniques through Community Clay’s educational program. She was given unrestricted access to the studio to experiment and find her voice in a new medium.
To conclude her residency, Grimm painted a mural in the entryway of the studio, which will be inaugurated during the closing show. The event will feature an artist talk at 6pm, where she will share her process, the final works, and her experience as the first artist in residence. Refreshments will be served!
