Join Denver ceramicist Liz Cohen for a masterclass on tape as glaze resist. In this hands-on workshop, Liz will demonstrate her process of turning two dimensional designs into functional, three dimensional forms with clean lines and vibrant colors.

Learn how to plot out your design, apply tape and brush on commercial glazes and underglazes. Liz will also discuss color theory and more complex methods of design, including printed stencils.

Finally, you will design and create a piece on bisqueware, provided by Liz. Your beautiful pIece will be ready for pick up after firing.

About the Artist: 
Liz Cohen is a ceramic artist who works out of her home studio in Denver, CO. She's been working with clay since 2010, when she took her first hand-building class while in school at Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA. She went on to receive a BA in Studio Art, and has been working in clay ever since.

You can currently find Liz working out of her home studio in Denver, Co as a full-time potter and ceramic artist. Her work mainly consists of functional ware with a retro flare, and she also enjoys creating sculpture and installations when the opportunity presents itself.
