Laura's latest show is a new look at a traditional theme. Through this exhibition, Laura hopes to engage viewers with thoughts about the changing western landscape and lifestyle. Using a contemporary conceptual lens, the exhibition includes twists on conventional and literal representations. The black and white images are silver gelatin photographs scanned in limited edition on aluminum, canvas and fine art papers. Several images illustrate Laura bringing the vintage process of hand-coloring to her contemporary practice. Color images are exhibited as digital prints on fine art paper and aluminum. Sculptures are presented in Laura's preferred mediums of iron, bronze and mixed media.
