Facing a critical need for affordable creative space, RiNo, in conjunction with Denver Arts and Venues and the North Denver Cornerstone Collaborative are working with Artspace to bring 90 units of permanently affordable live/work workforce housing for individual artists and their families in the RiNo Art District. These artist live/work units range from 1-3 bedrooms and are low income qualified.
Artspace is the nation’s leading non-profit arts developer, specializing in live/work artist housing, studios, art centers, and creative businesses. Presently, Artspace has three Colorado projects and 68 properties currently in operation, development, or leasing nationwide. The RiNo facility will be among the largest of these projects and would occupy a portion of Westfield Development's 14 acre site at 40th Street and Brighton Boulevard.
The proposed RiNo Artspace project is currently in the pre-development phase, working toward securing financing and finalizing details. Construction is estimated to begin in 2019.
