
Free August events sponsored by the RiNo Art District focus on building community through music, art, local vendor markets, and neighborhood gatherings at ArtPark and beyond

RiNo Art District announces its August programming lineup, featuring live music, art installations, markets, and community gatherings at RiNo ArtPark and across the district. From jazz in the park to hands-on art experiences and neighborhood talks, this month’s events invite residents and visitors to explore RiNo’s creative spaces and connect with the artists and organizations that shape the district’s cultural identity.
Second Saturdays at ArtPark
Saturday, August 9 | 6–10 p.m. | RiNo ArtPark at 35th and Arkins Ct.
Second Saturdays is RiNo’s new year-round series of free, family-friendly evenings celebrating local creativity. The August edition features a one-night installation by @mr_hanimal inside Truss House (6–10 p.m.), live jazz from @theorchestratormusic (7–10 p.m.), and the Takayama Artist Exchange installation still on view. Across the district, @filmfriends.co will host a new meetup curated by @johnnydraco, and @altogallery will present a special Friday night event. Visitors can explore art, music, and community programming in one night, with activities designed to highlight RiNo Art District members and partners.
August RiNo Talks

August’s RiNo Talks, hosted by Fabrica RiNo, will feature presentations from the Colorado Office of Economic Development & International Trade (OEDIT) on grant and resource opportunities for businesses and creatives, as well as route details for the upcoming RiNo 5K. The evening includes networking, member introductions, and light refreshments.
RiNo Made Pop-Up

The RiNo Made Pop-Up program activates vacant commercial spaces with artist-led exhibitions and studios. The current pop-up, in partnership with EDENS, features artists Sam Grabowska, Matt McCall, Navya Mallepeddi, Shadae Hunt, and Chris Bristow. Visitors are invited to meet the artists and see their work during open studio hours every Friday and Sunday. On Friday, August 22, a special Artist Talk will give attendees the chance to hear about each artist’s background and creative process while viewing works created during the residency.
RiNo Summer Art Market Series
Saturday, August 23 | 4–8 p.m. | RiNo ArtPark at 35th and Arkins Ct.
Hosted by Fireside at Five and presented by RiNo Art District, the Summer Art Market Series brings together 50 RiNo artists and small businesses each month for an evening of art, music, and food in the park. August’s market will feature a live DJ set by Bambinita (4–6 p.m.) and a performance by Blessing Bled Chimanga (6:30–8 p.m.), plus a DIY screenprinting station for the first 200 attendees, ArtPark partner pop-ups at Denver Public Library and Alto Gallery. The bar program is sponsored by Sipp Hospitality Marketing and will offer complimentary Ratio beers for RiNo members. Family-friendly programming includes unique crafts from Fruits of our Labor (“Pop Art Portraits”) and food trucks from Taste of Back Home and Repicci's Italian Ice & Gelato.
