Colorado in the Present Tense: Narkita Gold, Rick Griffith, Nathan Hall, and Maia Ruth Lee centers on how artists of the Colorado region are absorbing, responding to, grappling with, and reimagining the upended world in which we presently find ourselves. The exhibition will present commissioned new work and reframe existing projects from four Colorado-based artists that respond to our current moment of upheaval, uncertainty, and complexity.

Designer, activist, and artist, Rick Griffith’s work often intertwines these practices in his rigorous and imaginative body of work. Presenting a historic series of his paintings, the foundation of his design philosophy, and examples of merchandised materials that reflect his political and ethical values, this exhibition will also feature new work commissioned specifically for this project.

You can also see Rick's work at the Shop at MATTER. Open 10-5 Monday-Friday and 12-5 Saturday. Appointments preferred.
