These $50,000 cash awards are given as part of the Vilcek Foundation Prizes program, which supports immigrant professionals who have demonstrated exceptional early career achievements in their field.
This year, the Vilcek Foundation will select six immigrants in two Culinary Arts categories: Media & Storytelling and Food & Beverage. Three prizewinners will be selected in each category. This opportunity is open to chefs, brewers, bakers, mixologists, food filmmakers and journalists, chocolatiers, sommeliers, historians, cheese makers, food stylists, content creators, caterers, pastry chefs, food critics, distillers, culinary writers, testers, sous chefs, vintners, recipe developers, podcasters, and editors and more.
Apply by May 4, 2026 if you were born outside the U.S. to non-American parents, are 38 or younger, and have at least five years of professional experience with a strong creative track record. The Culinary Arts categories are offered every 8-10 years, so don't miss out!
