Board Nomination - KRW

Keep RiNo Wild is the 501(c)(3) nonprofit entity of the RiNo Art District.

Its mission is to provide and advocate for permanent, affordable community creative space within the district, to support and bolster the artist community which is here, as well as provide educational programming, events, classes and experiences for all ages, backgrounds and socio-economic groups. The KRW Board will oversee some of the fundraising efforts for the district and implements events and projects district wide.

The RiNo Art District, a distinctive area of north Denver that is inclusive of four historical neighborhoods: Globeville, Elyria-Swansea, Five Points and Cole, was formed in 2005 by a small group of artists focused on starting an artist and creative community and helping these businesses market their work. Today, RiNo is a state-certified Colorado Creative District and has grown to over 300 members, 200 studios, and 20 galleries. The district is moving forward on critical initiatives that will shape the community for years to come, while investing in programs to activate and help retain the character and makeup of RiNo. The organization also includes a Business Improvement District (BID) and General Improvement District (GID) within its boundaries that work to support the priorities of the RiNo Art District.
