Everything that people have carved or molded or painted from the Paleolithic to the modern era appeals to me. I guess I decided I wanted to be an artist because I was so enthusiastic about studying it and I wanted to be able to decipher the secrets of artistic expression. That’s the genesis of my obsession. Breaking the code isn’t so easy, but it’s fun.

I earned a BFA from Indiana State University and studied at the Art Institute in New York for a couple of years. I have had solo shows and been in group exhibits as well as sold art online over the years; I’ve also done a lot of graphic illustration. I took a little break from commerce and now I’m back to painting what I want to paint and it’s been very liberating.
