ABOUT
From Denver artist Christy Cattin, Color As Light is an immersive, restorative experience taking place throughout May. Featuring a gallery opening and additional programming, the exhibition invites you to work with color through breath and visualization.

Color As Light: A Restorative Experience introduces a new way of being with art, where color becomes a personal practice of restoration and well-being.

This exhibition is not simply something to view—it is an immersive, meditative experience. Visitors are invited to slow down and engage with color through presence, breathwork, visualization, and reflection. Color is experienced as energy, as a restorative force, and as a living language the body understands.

The gallery becomes an activated color sanctuary—a space designed to calm the nervous system, create safety in the body, and support emotional regulation. Here, color is not an object on the wall; it is a practice people carry with them, a way of restoring, listening, and reconnecting through presence.

Christy Cattin is an artist and author who works with color as light and frequency. Her practice is rooted in meditation, where each painting begins in stillness and emerges through an intuitive language with color. Through her work, color becomes more than something we see—it becomes something we can practice with.

She creates immersive color experiences that invite you to slow down, turn inward, and breathe with color. Each colorwash is created to be experienced, activating color through breath and visualization. Christy writes all of her own guided practices, developed through her daily work with color as a restorative practice.
