Geologic Time is a solo exhibition of new sculpture by Aaron Sturtz, featuring carved ceramic works inspired by the formal, material, and temporal qualities of western landforms.

Drawing on years of climbing and canyoneering in the American West, Sturtz translates the spatial logic of canyons and geological formations into sculpture. The works explore compression, expansion, erosion, repetition, and variation through clay that is built, carved, and fired. The exhibition also draws connections between geology, music, calligraphy, and movement, creating a visual language shaped by rhythm and physical transformation.

Geologic Time is on view October 2–November 30, 2026.
