For the entire moth of June, Sista Luna will be our featured artist at LUX FORGE! Her opening reception is on Friday, June 6th from 5-8pm. Luna’s work plays with a variety of mediums, exploring cycles of death/rebirth and creating space for internal transformation through honoring grief, change, and loss for herself and others. These themes are the consistent threads weaving throughout her artwork, while their physical manifestations include drawing, painting, mixed media, sculpture, or interdisciplinary performance. Her subject matter can speak to these death/rebirth cycles - such as animal skulls, flora, and fungi. Other times my process and materials carry the entity of transformation and grief.
