Dateline is thrilled to announce Whole Ocean, the latest solo endeavor of original oil paintings by art prankster Jack Estenssoro. Whole Ocean - the spiritual successor to Estenssoros previous solo exhibition at Dateline - once again combines old and new in a humorously poignant way, demonstrating that subjects of the past need to be looked at objectively to gain insight into what they really mean, especially with the amount of knowledge and information that we have now. Even though worldviews change over time, humanity is obligatorily connected to the past.

Through his oil paintings, Estenssoro navigates the complexities of our post-internet era, grappling with the vast array of information while attempting to decipher the trajectory of the human condition. With a playful nod to pop culture, art history, and even internet memes, Estenssoro fearlessly explores various subjects, leaving no topic untouched. As DJ Khaled famously proclaimed on TikTok, "Bring out the Whole Ocean!" Be in on the joke with us this first Friday evening from 6-11pm at dateline.
