December 2017

In collaboration with the City of Denver and district stakeholders, the RiNo Art District is spearheading the design process to convert 35th Street between Arkins Court and Wazee into a street designed primarily for pedestrians and bicyclists while still allowing motor vehicle access at slow speeds. This conversion with help connect the 35th Street RiNo Pedestrian Bridge over the railroad tracks with the 35th Street Pedestrian Bridge planned near the new River North Park and connecting the Taxi Campus.

In December 2017, the RiNo Art District completed 30% design documents for 35th Street. As of 2019, RiNo and the City and County of Denver are co-funding a design study to develop a complete 100% design package for 35th Street, linking the 38th and Blake A-Line station with the future RiNo ArtPark and Platte River Promenade.
