SAVE THE DATE: Brighton Blvd. Ribbon Cutting Thursday, June 21
The moment we all have been waiting for has finally come! After just over a year and a half of construction, Brighton Boulevard Segment 1 (29th to 40th Streets) will be complete! Come help us celebrate with all of the amazing businesses that toughed it out during this period of improvement with a massive street party filled with food, drinks, music, celebration, and fun on June 21 from 4:00-8:00pm.
The City of Denver and the RiNo Art District will be hosting a formal ribbon cutting at the intersection of Brighton Blvd. and 35th Street at 2:30pm to officially commemorate the opening of this groundbreaking thoroughfare. Afterwards, we will be bringing the party to the streets, with pop-up parties planned from 29th Street through 38th Street.
Ride your bike on our brand new cycletrack, walk on the brand new pedestrian-friendly sidewalks, or drive down a street free from cones; we can't wait to celebrate with you! Grand Opening Event Page
For more than 100 years, River North has been an economic and industrial hub in Denver. Brighton Blvd has been its central artery--the thoroughfare that connected Downtown to I-70, it's Denver's front door.
The City of Denver contributed 30 million dollars to redevelop the stretch between I-70 and 29th and Brighton Boulevard. With the help of the RiNo Business Improvement District and the RiNo General Improvement District the redevelopment will reflect the changing character of the neighborhood. The new road will feature protected bike lanes, continuous sidewalks, new stoplights, RiNo signage and wayfinding, protected turn lanes, and beautiful new landscaping.
The goal is to create a more pedestrian friendly environment to help generate growth for businesses and a safer experience for all. Click here to see the Brighton Blvd Design Flyover
