Kai Two Feathers Orton, Ph.D., is a First Nations (Innuinait, Tłı̨chǫ, Niimíipuu, Nēhiyawak) Canadian-American scientist, visual artist, and wanderer currently based in Denver, CO. She studied computational biophysics and molecular biology at Northwestern University in Illinois. Kai is a self-taught artist that brings her love of nature, mathematical beauty, story telling, and the cultural traditions from her mixed race and multicultural background into her works focused on illustration, modern form, and fine art. Kai Two Feathers Orton’s practices encompass multiple mediums such as painting, drawing, printmaking, collage, and origami.
