PAST DATE AND TIME:
- Fri, Oct 2, 2020 - Sat, Nov 28, 2020
DATELINE is thrilled to return to its regularly scheduled programming this October with Implements for Modern Farming; the exhibition of new sculptural works from Denver based artist Max Kauffman. This marks his first solo exhibition in 2 years.
The bulk of Max’s work derives from his time as an artist in residence in Newnan, GA in February of 2020. The sculptures are created from antique wooden molds, originally crafted by hand nearly one hundred years ago.
Max embellishes each sculpture with his signature patterns in a pastel color palette, combining a rustic proletariat quality while forging new life into an abstract collaboration with the long-gone craftsmen of turn of the century Georgia.
In addition, Max will display some recent metal sculptures and unveil a new limited edition artist book.
Artists Reception First Friday November 6, 6-11. Join Dateline and the artist for First Friday fun! COVID-19 restrictions permitting!
See the show virtually on www.ddaatteelliinnee.com starting October 2nd!
