With over fifteen years in business, Where Wood Meets Steel creates well-designed, well-crafted, functional works of art designed and built to last a lifetime. They salvage and repurpose felled, American hardwood trees, designing and fabricating custom furniture and fixtures for living and working spaces. Their core business grew from the urge to rescue the local, mature hardwood trees of Denver being cut down due to disease or age, and the desire to offer people a custom solution for their space and lifestyle. By definition, no two slabs are alike, and each tree reveals its own beauty inspiring its new form and function. Pairing these sustainable, reclaimed trees with certified American-made steel has become their signature style.

Their wood slab showroom in Globeville features hundreds of slabs, tree bases, beams and lumber. Open to the public by appointment, they offer unique solutions for homeowners, architects, designers, woodworkers, hobbyists and business owners.
