In September 2017, the RiNo Art District and RiNo BID partnered with Denver Human Services to put individuals experiencing homelessness to work in RiNo for three weeks. The pilot, delivered through the Denver Day Works program, provided low- to no-barrier work experience for these individuals, employing 36 individuals each week.
Based on the success of the pilot program, the Denver Day Works program has been expanded to allow neighborhoods across the city to access their services.
RiNo is committed to continuing this partnership and is currently working with Denver Day Works on its Recycling and Landfill Program.
