In September, 2017, the RiNo Art District and Business Improvement District partnered with Denver Human Services to put individuals experiencing homelessness to work in RiNo for three weeks. The pilot, delivered through the Denver Day Works program, provided low- to no-barrier work experience for these individuals, employing 36 individuals each week.

Based on the success of the piolot program, the Denver Day Works program has been expanded to allow neighborhoods across the city to access their services.

RiNo is committed to continuing this partnership in 2018 and is currently working on a program to employ Denver Day Works again to provide maintenance and other services across the district.
