In this afternoon of music and yoga at Fort Greene, Urban Sanctuary's Angela Evans will lead a grounding and rhythmic asana practice, set to a live performance by Miguel Aviña. Connect with your inner center and find a refreshed sense of belonging in community. Hang out after the practice for some live refreshments and another song or two! With the purchase of a ticket, a non-alcoholic beverage of your choice is included.

Miguel's melancholy folk phrases and melodies of nostalgia and exhilaration exhibit the immigrant song. As the lead singer and guitarist for Denver's iZCALLi, his music is undeniably Latin and deeply American, celebrating tradition and kin, uniting what you find with what you left behind, and opening the heart, so you know you are home.

Angela is a music journalist, fascinated by the rhythms, lyrics, and musicians that soundtrack the world around us. With her yoga teaching, Angela seeks to facilitate a welcoming, inclusive, and dynamic space for all to practice.
