Brad K. Evans and Susan Wick are set to showcase their latest artworks in Denver for a two-day art show on March 3 and March 4, 2023. The two artists have been recognized for their distinct styles, and their upcoming exhibition is one of the most anticipated art events in the area.
Brad K. Evans' Denver Fugly paintings will take center stage at the exhibition. The series of works captures the essence of Denver's urban landscape with a vibrant, street-art inspired style. Brad's paintings highlight the unique architecture, graffiti, and street art in Denver's rapidly evolving neighborhoods. Denver FUGLY is a term used to describe the "F**king Ugly" buildings that continue to pop up in Denver, which Brad has found a way to lampoon on his Denver Fugly facebook group, and has now found a way to make them visually palatable.
On the other hand, Susan Wick's new abstract paintings reflect the artist's recent exploration of color, texture, and form. Her works use bold, bright colors and a variety of brushstrokes, resulting in complex and layered abstract pieces. Her use of color and texture creates depth and movement within her paintings, leaving the viewer captivated and curious.
The exhibition will take place in the TAXI II Building in RiNo Art District in Denver, CO. The RiNo Art District has a reputation for hosting some of the most prominent art events in the area, and attendees can expect a diverse range of artworks from two talented artists in the Denver art scene.
Mickey Zeppelin is an accomplished and visionary developer, well-known for his work on urban renewal projects in LODO, the Golden Triangle and in the RiNo Art District. The 2007 Taxi II building was developed by Mickey Zeppelin with three nationally-known architects. The futuristic project was focused on the user, and developing a building that invited and encouraged connections to the community. The building's unique architecture and design have been celebrated by art enthusiasts and architecture aficionados alike, making it the perfect location for a conversation about RENEWAL, both in Denver and on the TAXI Campus.
The art show is open to the public on Friday, March 3 from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, March 4 at the TAXI II Building located at 3457 Ringsby Court, Suite 200 (second floor, elevator available) in Denver, CO. Parking is available. All are welcome to attend and to engage with the artists and those attending. Visitors will have the opportunity to interact with the artists and learn about their artistic processes. The two-day event promises to be a celebration of art, architecture, and urban renewal.
