Join Improper City for a special Movember edition of Tuesday Tapping! Drinking beer for a good cause, enjoy some beard stylings, a photo booth, and lots of fun giveaways... Read on for details!
This month, we are bringing in Sigi's Bock from Tivoli Brewing Co. This bock-style ale is brewed as a lager, with a malty backbone and a mild, roasty finish. It's named after Moritz Sigi, one of the founders of Tivoli, who brought the brewery to life in 1864. Sigi specialized in brewing buck beers, a Colorado unique style of ales that are brewed as lagers. Moritz Sigi died in a horrific horse accident, but his legacy continues.
Our talented neighbors and friends Bishops will have barbers on site providing beard trims and shape ups. Come get your no-shave-November beard shaped up and looking sharp. These will be a $3-5 suggested donation.
$1 from every beer sold during the event will be donated to the Movember foundation, which is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health. Did you know that men die on average 6 years earlier than women, and for largely preventable reasons?
Unchecked, prostate cancer rates will double over the next 15 years. Testicular cancer rates have already doubled in the last 50. And across the world, one man dies by suicide every minute of every day, with males accounting for 75% of all suicides.
Movember is uniquely placed to address this crisis on a global scale. Since 2003 they have funded more than 1,250 men’s health projects around the world, challenging the status quo, shaking up men’s health research and transforming the way health services reach and support men.
We will have lots of door prizes and giveaways, so bring your crew. We hope you'll join us in this special night of promoting men's health. Cheers to that!
