Denver Public Library and Denver Film Society have teamed up for this silent film series hosted by The Preservery. Showtime is 7pm, but arrive early to order special appetizers, drinks and entrees inspired by the films.

May 2nd: Modern Times (1936) with Charlie Chaplin
We open with Charlie Chaplin’s Modern Times, a classic silent film that was produced well into the era of talking films. See the magic that has entranced audiences for nearly eighty years.

May 9th: Pandora’s Box (1929) starring Louise Brooks
Louise Brooks shines in this masterpiece directed by G.W.Pabst. It’s daring and stylish and a testament to Brooks’ unique presence on film.

May 16th: Fritz Lang’s Metropolis, 1927
See the rarely screened Giorgio Moroder's special 1984 reconstruction of Metropolis with color tinting, fewer inter-titles, and newly restored footage.

May 23rd: The General (1927) starring Buster Keaton
Our finale presentation is Buster Keaton's The General, a film so brilliantly conceived and executed that it continues to inspire awe and laughter with every viewing.
