New work by TAYLOR BALKISSOON
Opening reception Friday January 7th, 6-11pm

ARTIST STATEMENT

I will have 2 videos playing, a few collages and a series of risograph prints for sale. I want this show to freak you out the way I’m freaked out. I want this city to stop eating itself alive. I want art patrons to give money to unhoused people and to social causes instead of funding the construction of giant glass tubes. I want artists to be more radical and less subservient to the ruling class. We will be raising funds for folks at Sol Tribe and for the organization I am part of - Uptown Laundry - so that we can further our goals in abolition and in coalition building between community organizers and artists.
