Mark Goudy came to ceramics late in life, in his 50's, following a 20 year career as a computer chip design engineer in the 3D graphics industry. He slip casts paper thin porcelain vessels decorated with soluble salts creating luminous vessels with abstract patterns that pass through the translucent porcelain. His ceramic objects "live in light."
Liza Riddle's minimalist sculptures resemble landscapes that are transformed by geologic processes. Her forms are basic geometric primitives, spheres, cubes, and hemispheres that are allowed to crack as they dry. She uses water soluble metals to develop her color palette.
